Detection method of curcumin content in Turmeric Extract
[Content determination] Volatile oil is determined by the Volatile Oil Determination Method.
This product contains volatile oil not less than 7.0% (ml/g).

Determination of curcumin according to HPLC.
Chromatographic conditions and system usability test:
Use ODS as filler; use acetonitrile-4% glacial acetic acid solution (48:52) as mobile phase; detection wavelength as 430nm. The number of theoretical plates should not be less than 4000 based on the curcumin peak.
Preparation of reference substance solution:
Take an appropriate amount of curcumin reference substance, accurately weigh it, add methanol to make a solution containing 10μg per 1ml, and get it.
Preparation of the test solution:
Take about 0.2g of the fine powder of this product, accurately weigh it, place it in a conical flask with stopper, add 10ml methanol accurately, weigh it, heat to reflux for 30 minutes, let it cool, and then weigh it again. Use methanol to make up the lost weight. Shake well, centrifuge, accurately measure 1ml of supernatant, put it in a 20ml measuring flask, add methanol to dilute to the mark, shake well, and get it.
Detection method:
Precisely draw 5μl each of the reference solution and the test solution, inject it into the HPLC instrument for determination.
This product is calculated as a dry product and contains no less than 1.0% curcumin (C21H20O6).
