Isatis Root Extract Introduction
Isatis Root is a Chinese herbal medicine. It is divided into northern isatis and southern isatis, northern isatis is derived from the roots of cruciferous plants Isatis tinctoria L. and I. indigotica Fort., southern isatis is the rhizome and root of Baphicacanthus cusia (Nees) Brem.
Isatis Root Extract is extracted from the root of Radix isatidis, mainly containing Indoxyl-β-glucoside, Isatin, Indigo, β-Sitosterol and Ding Su etc. It also contains vegetable protein, resinous substances, sugars, glucosinolates, various amino acids and trace elements.
Isatis Root Extract has anti-viral, anti-infective, and anti-bacterial effects.
