Danshen Extract Introduction:
Danshen can improve plasmin activity，inhibit platelet aggregation (increases cAMP level in platelets and inhibits TXA2 synthesis), and improve hemorheological properties (reduced blood viscosity, shortened erythrocyte electrophoresis time). Danshen can significantly reduce the area of aortic atherosclerotic plaque, and reduce serum total cholesterol and triglycerides to a certain extent. Also, Danshen can inhibit the increase of blood lipids in rabbits with high-fat diet.
Danshen Extract contains cryptotanshinone, which has an inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, and denatured bacilli in vitro.
