Introduction:
Oryzanol(γ-Oryzanol) which exists in rice oil (rice bran oil), is a mixture of ferulic acid esters with triterpene (enol). In China, people use rice bran oil for cooking, as it has a nut-like flavor with high smoking temperature. Oryzanol has been used as medicine since 1960s.
The main function of Oryzanol is to improve the dysfunctions of plant nerves, reduce endocrine balance disorders and improve the symptoms of mental disorders. It can regulate neurasthenia, climacteric syndrome and premenstrual syndrome. It also has many physiological functions, such as lowering blood lipids, lowering liver lipids, preventing lipid oxidation and resisting oxidation. In addition, it also has the effect of resisting arrhythmia by adjusting plant nerve function to make cardiac muscle excitatory been reduced.
