Astaxanthin---The King of Antioxidants

Aging has always been a hot topic in the scientific community. As people grow older, various body functions will gradually decline, which leads to problems in people's health. And for most women who care about beauty, skin aging is the most unacceptable thing. When the skin appears aging damage, the color and lustre, shape, texture, and other overall appearance will experience different degrees of aging. In order to solve people's "aging anxiety", scientists have been carrying out a lot of related studies, and in recent years, astaxanthin has become the main research object of many scientists.

Astaxanthin is a carotenoid with strong antioxidant capacity. Its antioxidant effect is 100 times that of α-tocopherol, 65 times that of vitamin C, 54 times that of β-carotene, and it is derived from shrimp, crab, fish, bird, algae and other organisms,, without any side effects on the human body. We know that people’s skin aging is largely caused by excessive free radicals in the body, and too many unstable free radicals may also damage cells, proteins, fats, and even the core of cell DNA, causing many Chronic degenerative diseases.

As we age, the ability of the human body to synthesize antioxidants will gradually weaken. In our daily life, due to factors such as living environment and eating habits, free radicals increase further, which also speeds up the aging rate of people in all aspects. Therefore, supplementing antioxidants to delay aging has become the most commonly used method for demanders, and astaxanthin has become the first choice of its kind due to its super-strong free radical capture ability.

In earlier human clinical trials related to astaxanthin. Scientists conducted a placebo-controlled open-label test on 30 healthy women and a double-blind placebo-controlled test on 36 healthy men. Female subjects took 6 mg of astaxanthin orally and topically applied 2ml of astaxanthin solution with a solubility of 78.9μM daily for eight consecutive weeks. Male subjects were divided into two groups, one group took 6 mg of astaxanthin daily for six consecutive weeks. The other group only took placebo. After testing, the researchers found some improvement in crow's feet and restored skin elasticity, while the male subjects showed significantly less dryness on the skin compared to the placebo control group, which also confirmed the excellent anti-aging effects of astaxanthin in all aspects.

In addition, astaxanthin has also been approved by the scientific research community to improve immunity and prevent cardiovascular diseases, and can be used as an excellent nutritional health product.
